"Summer Support Initiative"
For the remainder of this summer, we need your support to provide water for the community. We have created an "Adopt A Water Week/Month" here's how it works:
$40 per week will provide 571 bottles of water per week.
$160 per month will provide 2286 bottles of water per month.
Please help us fill the basic needs of the community. Also, if you want to join us as the hands and feet of Jesus in the community, please join us for our Jesus Walks on Saturday's from 12:00pm-2:00pm. (See Outreach Ministry page).
Through collaborative efforts with the Minneapolis Police Department, we at Grace in the City Church are privileged to be able to serve the homeless and vulnerable people of our community. Everyday, we serve shoulder to shoulder on the streets of Minneapolis with Sgt. Grant Snyder. Through this partnership, we are able to help people recover from drug addiction, homelessness, and hunger.
Our message is one of hope and love, which we receive from the Word of God. God has given us a heart for the lost and broken, and both Sgt. Snyder and Pastor John will serve them in obedience to God's Word, which tells us in Isiah 61:1-2 how vital this ministry is:
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;
With your continued support, we are creating a community centered on Jesus Christ, which will provide the peace, joy, and hope for those in need. as we say often, "A life without Christ is never fixed!" Jesus is the key to redemption, and this is what God promises in Joel 2:25:
25 I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten . . .
You can bring provisions to the church on a daily basis, or you can give on line on our giving page, to the fund titled "Homeless & Vulnerable People Ministry." All of the funds will be used as directed to provide food, water, clothing etc.
Grace in the City thanks you for your support!
