at Grace in the City Church
Hours of Operation:
We know the poverty level and need in our country is large, but it’s a huge issue in Minneapolis, Minnesota, if a person has nowhere to seek shelter from the elements. We also know, lives have been effected by trauma and addiction, which are not prejudice and has affected the lives of many ethnic groups who live in our city.
Grace in the City Church, coupled with the Minneapolis Police Department, Metro Transit Police, St. Vincent de Paul, Youthlink, The Salvation Army, Metro Hope, and Loaves and Fishes, through an amazing collabrative partnership, is dedicating support and resources to change this epidemic.
We know the solution from bondage; Jesus! We are all too familiar with these concerns and issues, and we are here to make a significant reduction in these, because we are dedicated to show the love of Christ to those less fortunate.
This will not be something Grace in the City Church can do alone, hence our current partnerships. An effort like this takes an army of supporters, volunteers, and supplies to make this change sustainable, and everlasting. We want to build a reputation as a place where people can come to be safe, find immediate assistance, and long-term solutions through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are seeking financial partners, food and drink partners, along with social services and shelter partners who can come alongside us with resources to assist us with serious change for Christ in Minneapolis.
“Together we’re creating partnerships, which will dictate everlasting change!”
Jesus states in Matthew 25:40: “'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.”
We know a person must be, “An active participant in their own rescue” for any change to take effect, which is why we are here. We will help those and disciple those who choose to change. While working with those who still haven’t come to the realization that there is a better life outside of the bondage thy are currently in.
We will minister to the less fortunate of the city, through your generous donations; knowing that God has a much greater plan for the lives of those caught in the web of bondage.
The Hub will operate as a “community resource center” for adults and youth, during the hours of 7am to 5pm Monday through Saturday; providing food/drink, safety/refuge and other resources available, throughout the entire day.
For serving opportunities, please see the “Serving Request Form” below. Also, to make a donation to The Hub, please click the “Donate” button below.
Grace in the City Church will continue to have its worship service on Sunday’s from 4pm to 5:30pm with a full fellowship dinner to follow service.
Doing ministry 7 days per week is not easy, as we know, but through your constant prayer and support, we will be able to make this next level effort in the city of Minneapolis; a reality!
God bless you and thank you,
Pastor John Steger
